RMAFC Reaffirms Commitment to Revenue Reforms in Nigeria

On June 9, 2025, the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), led by Chairman Dr. Moh Bello Shehu, received a delegation from the Joint Revenue Board (JRB), headed by Executive Secretary Mr.

Olusegun Adesokan. During the courtesy visit, Dr.

Shehu reaffirmed RMAFC's commitment to ongoing revenue reforms that aim to enhance transparency and ensure fair revenue allocation across Nigeria's fiscal architecture. He emphasized that the success of these reforms relies heavily on cooperation among stakeholders involved in revenue generation and administration.

Dr. Shehu also acknowledged the need for continuous dialogue and technical engagement with states to address concerns regarding new tax regimes, particularly issues related to electronic transfer taxation and revenue allocation refunds.

Mr. Adesokan noted that the visit aimed to strengthen collaboration between JRB and RMAFC to achieve the objectives of the new tax framework, which is designed to promote equity and transparency in tax administration.
