RMB & Circularity Africa Empower Lagos Fishing Community with Solar Cold Room

Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) and Circularity Africa partnered to install a solar-powered cold room in Akodo-Ise, Lagos, benefiting the fishing community plagued by power outages. The initiative aims to boost economic stability for fishermen like Malik Temitope, enabling fair pricing and income stability.

Adeniyi Yusuf, a community leader, highlighted the impact of climate change on the region. RMB plans to distribute additional solar units and engage in CSR activities like beach clean-ups and food distribution.
