Teacher's Hand Severed in Kano Robbery Attack

On Wednesday night, a teacher in Kano was attacked by robbers along Funkuyi Road in Buran District, Rano. The victim, identified as a resident of Sarkin Bakar Rano, was targeted during an attempted robbery where his motorcycle and mobile phone were forcibly taken.

Malam Sauwanu Hadi, who attempted to rescue the victim, reported that the assailants initially tried to shoot him, but their gun malfunctioned. Consequently, they resorted to using a machete, which resulted in the victim's hand being severed, leaving him in critical condition.

Following the incident, a formal report was made to the district head, Alhaji Aminu Isa Umaru, who, along with Emir Muhammad Isa Umaru, condemned the attack and described it as disturbing. They urged security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and approved a donation of N100,000 to support the victim's medical treatment.

Local leaders have been urged to intensify efforts to curb criminal activities in the area.
