Ogun CP Orders Police Post After Violent Campus Robbery

Following a violent armed robbery at the Ibogun campus of Olabisi Onabanjo University that left several students injured and valuables stolen, Ogun State Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni visited the site to assess the situation. The incident involved a group of 12 armed men who invaded a student hostel, breaking into rooms and assaulting occupants.

In response to the attack, which has triggered renewed fears among students due to a series of similar incidents over the past three months, Ojajuni ordered the establishment of a dedicated police post on campus. During his visit, he met with university authorities, community leaders, and student representatives to discuss security measures.

The police chief assured stakeholders that the command would reinforce police presence in the area and increase patrols. He also called for stronger collaboration with other security agencies to ensure safety.

The Ogun State Police Command confirmed that investigations are ongoing, and additional personnel will be deployed to restore calm.
