Rotary District 9127 Unveils AI Innovations in Abuja

During a handover ceremony in Abuja on Wednesday, Rotary District Governor Owonikoko outlined plans for the new Rotary year, emphasizing the integration of artificial intelligence to improve service delivery and coordination within Rotary District 9127. Owonikoko's administration will prioritize building a digitally enabled Rotary structure, aiming to enhance the impact of Rotary's humanitarian projects.

The district plans to subscribe to an AI-powered platform over the next ten years to support community management and ensure efficient and transparent operations. Owonikoko highlighted the importance of membership growth and engagement, stating that retaining members is essential to avoid a decline.

Princess Dr. Joi Okoro, the immediate past district governor, reported significant membership growth and club expansion during the 2025-2026 Rotary year, with 246 new members, 501 clubs, and contributions to the Rotary Foundation including 93 Paul Harris Fellows and 8 major donors.
