Rotary Donates 350 Desks to Kaduna Secondary Schools

On March 12, 2026, Rotary International, through its districts 9127 and 3204, donated 350 desks to five secondary schools in Kaduna State as part of a humanitarian initiative. The project, supported by the Rotary Club Barnawa, Rotary Club Kaduna Metropolitan, and Rotary Club Kawo Kaduna, aims to improve learning conditions for students.

The donation was led by immediate past district governor Mike Ukachi Nwanoshiri, who visited the Government Girls Secondary School in Narayi, Chikun LGA, where he expressed concern over students sitting on the floor due to a lack of desks. Esther David Barnaba, representing the school principal, expressed gratitude for the donation, highlighting the significant improvement in learning conditions.

The desks were also distributed to four other schools, including Government Secondary School Kakuri and Government Girls Secondary School Doka. The total of 350 desks distributed is part of Rotary's ongoing commitment to support educational improvement in public schools across Kaduna State.
