RTEAN Appoints Henry Ejiefor Ugwu as Secretary-General

The Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) has appointed a new Secretary-General, Henry Ejiefor Ugwu, following a decision made at a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting on September 25, 2025. The appointment came after an investigation into allegations against the former Secretary-General, Yusuf Ibrahim Adeniyi.

RTEAN reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and collaboration with government institutions to advance the transport sector's peace and development. The appointment of Ugwu is in line with the association's constitution and the Trade Unions Act.

RTEAN aims to enhance industrial harmony and efficiency in the transport industry through this leadership change.
