Arridex Transitions from RusselSmith, Expands Operations

Arridex, previously known as RusselSmith, has formally announced its name change to reflect its significant expansion beyond oil and gas services. Founded in the early 2000s, the organization has evolved into a multi-sector industrial technology group operating across various sectors, including maritime, aerospace, defense, construction, and manufacturing.

Arridex holds a pioneering status as the first company to qualify under the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) for additive manufacturing in the oil and gas sector. The company has achieved ISO certifications (ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018) and has maintained a record of zero lost time incidents across seven million man-hours of operation.

The name change coincides with a significant operational milestone, as Arridex prepares to inaugurate West Africa's first multi-technology industrial additive manufacturing facility in Lagos in June 2026. This facility will integrate multiple additive manufacturing technologies to produce large-scale structural components, enhancing the resilience of critical industries in Africa.
