Sabalenka Advances to Wimbledon Last 16, Faces Osaka

Aryna Sabalenka, the world number one, achieved a straight-set victory over Jelena Ostapenko with scores of 6-4, 6-4, to secure her place in the last 16 at Wimbledon. This win sets up a clash against Naomi Osaka, a four-time Grand Slam champion, on Sunday.

Sabalenka aims to reach her 15th consecutive Grand Slam quarter-final. In her previous three visits to Wimbledon, she has reached the semi-finals.

The 28-year-old Sabalenka holds a 3-1 win record against Osaka, who has also performed impressively to reach the fourth round at the All England Club for the first time. Their last encounter was at the French Open last month, where Sabalenka lost in straight sets to Diana Shnaider in the quarter-finals.

Ostapenko, a former Roland Garros champion, posed a serious threat in the second set but could not overcome Sabalenka's strong performance.
