Folake Soetan Named MD of Araha Global Oilfield Services

Sahara Group has appointed Folake Soetan as the Managing Director of Araha Global Oilfield Services, effective July 1, 2026. This appointment is part of Sahara Group's strategy to transform oilfield services across Africa.

Bethel Obioma, Executive Director of Sahara Group, and Adedeji Odunsi, who is involved in the development of Araha, emphasized the importance of this role in reinforcing energy infrastructure and enhancing operational excellence. Soetan's appointment reflects a commitment to empowering leadership and delivering impactful, value-driven solutions across the energy ecosystem.

She will also extend her responsibilities within the Sahara Power Group, leveraging her extensive experience, particularly from her tenure as CEO of Ikeja Electric, where she drove significant operational improvements. Her leadership is expected to strengthen the integration of upstream and power value chains, enhancing the delivery of reliable energy solutions across the continent.
