FRSC Warns Kano Drivers Against Overloading for Sallah

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kano Sector Command has issued a warning to commercial drivers in Kano against overloading and speeding during the upcoming Sallah celebrations. This caution was articulated in a statement by the sector's public education officer, Abdullahi Labaran, and echoed by sector commander Idri Lawal.

The warning comes as part of a nationwide public enlightenment campaign aimed at ensuring a crash-free Sallah celebration, which is scheduled for March 16, 2026. A road show rally was held along the Kano-Zaria Road to promote compliance with traffic rules and regulations.

The campaign involved various transport unions, including the National Union of Road Transport Workers and the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners, urging drivers and passengers to avoid reckless driving behaviors. The sector command's efforts are aligned with the FRSC's strategic goal to improve service delivery and road safety across the country.
