Sani Kaita Seeks Head Coach Role for Golden Eaglets

Sani Kaita, a former Nigerian international midfielder, has declared his intention to apply for the head coach position of Nigeria's U-17 men's football team, the Golden Eaglets. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) recently announced several youth team coaching vacancies, inviting applications from qualified coaches.

Kaita, who is based in the United Kingdom, boasts a rich playing history in Europe, including stints with clubs such as Sparta Rotterdam and Monaco, which he believes provides him with the perfect pedigree for the role. He holds a UEFA B license from the Football Association of Wales, allowing him to hone his coaching craft within the UK youth system.

Kaita is currently attached to Hellen FC and has previously earned a silver medal at the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup and participated in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. At 38 years old, he emphasizes his commitment to developing young players and is confident in his ability to assemble a team that Nigerians will be proud of.
