Sanwo-Olu Inaugurates 11 Fire Stations in Lagos State

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has delivered 11 fire stations during his administration, which spans seven years. This initiative aims to strengthen emergency response and public safety in the state.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by Maria Fadairo, Senior Public Affairs Officer of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, on a Friday. The new fire stations are part of a larger infrastructural project that commenced on April 8, 2026, and was commissioned on behalf of President Bola Tinubu and Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The project is aligned with the state government's broader infrastructural drive, which includes the construction of schools and sports facilities. The inauguration of the new Tolu fire station increases the total number of fire stations operated by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service to 25.

Adesey Margaret Abimbola, the Control General of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, noted that this delivery marks the eleventh fire station completed under Sanwo-Olu's administration, with three additional stations currently at various stages of completion.
