Sanwo-Olu Donates Bus to Pro-Tinubu Group for 2027 Elections

On October 14, 2026, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu fulfilled a pledge by donating a brand-new coaster bus to the Southwest Arewa Community Renewed Hope Agenda for Asiwaju 2027 (SWAC 4 ABAT AGAIN). This donation aims to support the group's political mobilization activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The bus was presented to the pro-President Bola Ahmed Tinubu support group as part of efforts to advocate for Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and other All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in Lagos State and the Southwest. The group, comprising members of the Arewa community, is focused on promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Sanwo-Olu's recent appointment of Ibrahim Abubakar Jagaba as Senior Special Assistant on Arewa Community Affairs further demonstrates his recognition of the Arewa community's role in Lagos politics. Alhaji Shehu Usman Sampam, the group's Director-General, praised the governor's gesture, stating it would enhance their outreach and mobilization efforts for the APC.
