Sanwo-Olu to Speak at Yoruba Tennis Club Centenary

The Yoruba Tennis Club (YTC) will host Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the guest speaker for its centenary anniversary lecture on September 15 at the Greetings Hall in Onikan, Lagos. The lecture, titled ‘Built to Last: A Century at the Forefront and the Long Work of Making a City,’ aims to celebrate the club's 100-year legacy and encourage discussions on governance and the development of Lagos State.

Lookman Kotun, the General Secretary of YTC, stated that the event will also feature the launch of the club's centenary history book and a groundbreaking ceremony for its centenary legacy project. Additionally, a Norman Williams exhibition will showcase the club's history through archival materials and memorabilia.

Founded in 1926, YTC has played a significant role in the social, cultural, and intellectual development of Lagos and Nigeria, evolving from its origins as the Orelodun Tennis Club.
