Tinubu Sends Delegation to Oyo After School Kidnapping

Following a kidnapping incident at Baptist Nursery Primary School in Oyo State, where a two-year-old pupil, Christianah Akanbi, and several others were abducted, President Bola Tinubu dispatched a high-powered delegation to the affected communities. The delegation, led by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, includes National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Inspector General of Police Tundun Disu, and other key officials.

The attack occurred around 8 AM, with armed men on motorcycles storming the school, leading to the abduction of 46 pupils and a teacher, Michael Oyedokun, who was killed during the incident. Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde visited the affected areas, assuring families of ongoing security efforts.

The community has expressed outrage and fear, prompting civil society groups to urge security agencies to intensify rescue operations. The delegation is expected to engage local stakeholders to address the situation and ensure the safe release of the victims.
