Bale, who won five Champions League titles with Real Madrid and is recognized as one of Britain's most successful players, suffered a torn disc in his back at 18 while playing for Tottenham Hotspur.

This injury contributed to numerous calf issues throughout his career, which some perceived as excuses. Bale's illustrious career included breaking the football transfer record when he moved to Real Madrid in 2013 and achieving notable milestones with the Welsh national team, including reaching the semi-finals of Euro 2016 and qualifying for the World Cup in 2022.
