Aaron Ramsey Retires from Professional Football at 35

Aaron Ramsey, the former captain of the Wales national football team and ex-Arsenal midfielder, has announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 35. Ramsey had a stellar career spanning over a decade, primarily with Arsenal FC, before moving to Juventus FC and later OGC Nice.

He also played for Cardiff City FC and most recently for Pumas UNAM in Mexico, but was left clubless at the end of the previous year due to injuries that limited his playing time. Ramsey earned 86 caps for Wales, with notable absences including the recent World Cup qualifiers against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He expressed his gratitude in an emotional Instagram message, thanking Wales and the clubs he represented. Ramsey was instrumental in Wales' run to the UEFA Euro 2016 semi-finals and participated in Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup.

Craig Bellamy praised Ramsey's career, calling him one of the best players to represent Wales.
