Arewa Group Demands Security from Tinubu for 2027 Votes

The Arewa group, under the leadership of Aminu Nasara, has issued a stern warning to President Bola Tinubu, stating that if he does not prioritize the security of lives in Northern Nigeria, he risks losing votes in the upcoming 2027 elections. The group highlighted the ongoing issues of banditry, insurgency, and kidnapping that have left families devastated and communities living in fear.

During a peaceful protest and road walk in Kano on a Sunday, Nasara emphasized that insecurity affects nearly every family in the region and called for immediate, non-negotiable action to restore peace. He cautioned that no legislator or political office holder should expect to regain their mandate if peace is not restored.

The movement is not seeking financial gain or political appointments but is focused on ensuring safety and stability for the communities. Nasara made it clear that leaders who fail to serve the people will face consequences in the polls.
