IGP Disu Strengthens Police-DSS Partnership for Security

On Monday, Inspector General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu visited the Department of State Services (DSS) headquarters in Abuja to reinforce the critical partnership between the Nigeria Police Force and the DSS. During the visit, IGP Disu highlighted the DSS as a vital, often unseen partner in national security operations, noting that successful missions are rarely achieved without the agency's involvement.

He stressed the need for sustained collaboration in key areas such as election security, counter-terrorism, VIP protection, cybersecurity, and the fight against economic sabotage. Disu proposed enhanced intelligence sharing and joint training initiatives to boost operational effectiveness.

The DSS Director General commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Disu as IGP, citing his experience and dedication to service. He expressed confidence in Disu's ability to build on the achievements of his predecessor and further advance the Nigeria Police Force.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation and promoting harmony in protecting the nation.
