ADC Urges Amaechi, Hayatu-Deen to Seek Redress on Primaries

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has advised presidential aspirants Rotimi Amaechi and Moham Hayatu-Deen to seek redress for any grievances related to the party's presidential primary. Bolaji Abdullahi, the party's spokesperson, clarified that there is currently no evidence supporting claims that the primary was rigged in favor of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

The ADC conducted nationwide direct primaries on Monday to select its presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections, although the final results have not yet been officially announced. Early figures indicate that Atiku Abubakar is leading, with Amaechi in second place and Hayatu-Deen in third.

Both Amaechi and Hayatu-Deen have rejected the outcome, alleging irregularities. Abdullahi maintained that the results are still being collated and that there is insufficient evidence to substantiate the claims of manipulation.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is monitoring the process, which is expected to conclude later in the day.
