Senator Katung Lauds Bishop Kukah's Nation-Building Efforts

On July 6, 2026, Senator Sundai Marshal Katung, representing the Kaduna South Senatorial District, commended Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah for his significant contributions to nation-building. This recognition occurred during the presentation of a 229-page book authored by renowned journalist James Swam, which compiles 100 quotes from Bishop Kukah on democracy, justice, governance, and national unity.

The event was held at the Catholic Secretariat in Durumi, Abuja. Senator Katung emphasized that Bishop Kukah's influence extends beyond the pulpit, shaping public discourse and national values over decades.

He identified four pillars of nation-building drawn from the book, highlighting the importance of justice, peace, hope, and dialogue in confronting national challenges.
