Federal Fire Service Clarifies Viral Video Misunderstanding

The Federal Fire Service issued a statement clarifying that vehicles depicted in a viral video during the homecoming event for Olumod Adeyemi in Kogi State were misconstrued as part of the Controller General's convoy. The video showed a large motorcade accompanying Adeyemi, which sparked debate on social media regarding resource allocation.

The footage captured multiple red-painted fire service vehicles, including a Toyota pickup, SUVs, and motorcycles, moving along a local road. Paul Abraham, the agency's Public Relations Officer, explained that the additional vehicles belonged to the Deputy Controller General and Assistant Controller General, who were attending the event on April 3, 2026.

The presence of these vehicles was part of the agency's security and support arrangements for high-profile gatherings, which included dignitaries such as Kogi State Governor Ahmed Ododo and Deputy Joel Salifu. The Controller General expressed appreciation for the support and unity demonstrated at the event.
