Seplat Energy Achieves Zero Routine Gas Flaring Milestone

Seplat Energy Plc has successfully achieved zero routine gas flaring across its onshore operations, a significant milestone in its efforts toward sustainable energy production and environmental stewardship. Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director Mr.

Samson Ezugwori announced this achievement during a media interaction with journalists in Benin City, Edo State. The company aims to cover its western and eastern onshore assets by the end of 2025.

Ezugwori emphasized that this accomplishment demonstrates Seplat's commitment to reducing emissions and aligning its operations with global best practices in the oil and gas industry. He noted that the elimination of routine gas flaring remains a major challenge for operations both within and outside Nigeria, highlighting the importance of this achievement for the company.
