Seplat Energy Achieves Zero Routine Gas Flaring Milestone

Seplat Energy PLC has successfully eliminated routine gas flaring across its onshore operations, a significant milestone in its commitment to sustainable energy and environmental stewardship. Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director Mr. Samson Ezugwori announced this achievement during a media interaction with journalists in Benin City, Edo State.

The company aims to cover its western and eastern onshore assets by the end of 2025, demonstrating its dedication to reducing emissions and aligning its operations with global best practices in the oil and gas industry. Ezugwori emphasized that the elimination of routine gas flaring remains a major challenge for operations both within and outside Nigeria, highlighting the company's proactive approach to addressing this issue.
