Serena Williams Returns to Tennis at Queen's Club

Serena Williams, aged 44, is set to return to competitive tennis at the Queen's Club in London after nearly four years away from the sport. She will compete in the women's doubles alongside Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko.

The tournament is scheduled to begin on June 8, 2023, and Williams has been granted a wildcard to participate. This marks her first competitive appearance since her last match at the 2022 US Open, where she made her final singles appearance.

Rumors of her return began circulating last year when her name appeared on a list of players registered for drug testing. These whispers intensified when she was reinstated on the International Tennis Integrity Agency's list in February.

Williams shared a video on social media, expressing her excitement about returning to the court. Victoria Mboko, ranked ninth in the world singles, described Williams as her idol and is also looking forward to the opportunity to play alongside her.
