Serena Williams Doubtful for Wimbledon Doubles Due to Injury

Serena Williams is uncertain to participate in the Wimbledon doubles alongside her sister, Venus Williams, due to a knee injury sustained during her singles comeback. The 44-year-old, who is a six-time doubles champion at the All England Club, was scheduled to reunite with her sister on the grand slam court for the first time since 2022.

However, after tweaking her right knee at the end of the first set, she experienced swelling and was deemed unfit to play. Wimbledon organizers stated that she would not be able to undertake her media duties following the match.

Serena's agent, Jill Smoller, confirmed that she left the site unaided on Tuesday night, indicating that she was doing everything possible to be ready for the doubles match later in the week.
