Serena Williams Doubtful for Wimbledon Doubles Match

Serena Williams, a 44-year-old tennis player and 23-time Grand Slam singles champion, is doubtful for the Wimbledon doubles due to a knee injury sustained during her singles comeback. She was scheduled to play alongside her older sister, Venus Williams, marking their first reunion on the Grand Slam court since 2022.

However, after tweaking her right knee at the end of the first set, Serena's condition worsened, leading to swelling. Wimbledon officials stated that she was unable to fulfill her media obligations following the match.

Serena's agent, Jill Smoller, confirmed that she left the site unaided on Tuesday night. Despite the injury, there is hope that she will be ready for the doubles match later in the week.
