Seriake Dickson Mourns Ex-Jigawa Rep Abba Ana Adamu

Seriake Dickson, a former governor of Bayelsa State, mourned the tragic death of Abba Ana Adamu, a former member of the House of Representatives from Jigawa State, who was killed following a kidnapping incident. Dickson expressed his shock and heartbreak on social media, describing Adamu as a good man and a dear friend.

He noted that Adamu was among those affected by the increasing wave of insecurity and kidnappings plaguing Nigeria, especially in the northern regions. Dickson reminisced about their political journey together, recalling their collaboration in the House of Representatives around 2007 and their efforts during political turbulence under President Umaru Yar'Adua.

Adamu was recognized for his commitment to national interests and was nominated for a ministerial position during Goodluck Jonathan's presidency, although he did not assume the role due to local opposition. Dickson extended condolences to Adamu's family, emphasizing the loss of a loyal ally and friend.

Adamu was also an aspirant for the governorship of Jigawa State under the African Democratic Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections.
