SERVICOM Drives Reforms at Nigeria Revenue Service and FMLD

On June 9, 2026, in Abuja, Mr. Helen Lawal, the Acting National Coordinator of SERVICOM, led initiatives aimed at improving service delivery within the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) and the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development (FMLD).

During a dual event, he inaugurated a new committee within the NRS to enhance taxpayer services and compliance. Lawal emphasized the importance of a proactive culture in service delivery and the need for a modern service charter that reflects realistic performance metrics.

He tasked the newly appointed committee with addressing taxpayer satisfaction and managing independent surveys. Additionally, Lawal visited Dr.

Chinyer Ijeoma Akujobi, the Permanent Secretary of FMLD, to discuss the establishment of a fully operational SERVICOM unit within the ministry. He outlined a seven-point framework for improving livestock services, including appointing a deputy director and ensuring compliance with service standards.

The reforms aim to enhance the quality of livestock production, veterinary care, and meat safety services.
