The City Boy Movement has issued a statement defending Seyi Tinubu against a viral social media post that allegedly attributed blasphemous statements to him regarding Allah. Tega Ogra, the Deputy Director General of the movement, emphasized that Seyi Tinubu has never insulted the Almighty God and described him as a man of deep faith who holds great respect for God.

The statement criticized the post, purportedly authored by Albaabu Abdulahi, as a deliberate attempt to provoke public sentiment and incite religious tension. The movement reaffirmed its commitment to mobilizing support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election campaign in 2027, stating that political ambitions should remain above religious convictions.

The group warned against attempts to distort Seyi Tinubu's image and incite religious sentiments in the country.
