Transcorp Hotels Approves N13bn Dividend for 2025

Shareholders of Transcorp Hotels PLC approved a N13 billion dividend for the 2025 financial year, equating to N1.30 per share. The chairman, Dr.

Awele Elumelu, highlighted a 38% revenue increase to N97 billion compared to N70 billion in the previous year, driven by enhanced service standards and a focus on customer satisfaction. The profit after tax rose to N32.8 billion, marking a 45% year-on-year growth.

Looking ahead to 2026, the company plans to develop new hotel properties, including the flagship 5-star Transcorp Hotel Ikoyi in Lagos. Uzoamaka Oshogwe, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, discussed strategies for revenue optimization, including a dual gas burner system for energy efficiency and a focus on renewable energy solutions.

The company aims to sustain revenue growth through investments in technology and operational excellence while maintaining brand relevance.
