Transcorp Power Plc Reports 30% Revenue Jump to ₦398.27 Billion in 2025

Transcorp Power Plc, a subsidiary of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (Transcorp Group), has announced a 30% year-on-year revenue increase to ₦398.27 billion for the financial year ending December 31, 2025. The company's profit before tax also saw a 14% rise to ₦91.42 billion, compared to ₦80.01 billion in the previous year. Gross profit climbed to ₦162.44 billion from ₦142.21 billion, and earnings per share rose to ₦12.19 from ₦10.67. Total assets expanded by 42% to ₦563.48 billion, while shareholder equity increased by 44% to ₦183.40 billion. The company's borrowings were reduced to ₦30.7 billion from ₦37.7 billion, reflecting efforts to strengthen its balance sheet.

Transcorp Power attributed its performance to enhanced generation capacity, disciplined financial management, and a return of over 100MW to the national grid in January 2025. The company's long-term strategy focuses on improving operations, transforming Africa, and making strategic investments to deliver sustained long-term value to shareholders. The board has proposed a full-year dividend of ₦5.50 per share for 2025, representing a 10% increase from the previous year.
