NNPC Retail's She-Fix 2.0 Initiative Empowers Women

NNPC Retail hosted the second edition of its She-Fix 2.0 initiative on Saturday in Abuja, aimed at promoting women's inclusion and opportunities in the energy sector. The event, themed "Drive Divers Power Progress," attracted approximately 300 women, including professionals, business owners, and young technicians.

Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman Ibrahim, the Minister of Women Affairs, highlighted the centrality of inclusion to national growth and called for sustained collaboration between government and corporate sectors to enhance programs for women in technical and STEM-related fields. Sophia Mbakw, Executive Vice President of Business Services at NNPC Ltd, noted that women's contributions permeate every level of NNPC Ltd.

The event featured a panel of five senior women from various sectors, including Emmanuella Arukw and Maryamu Idri, who discussed women's empowerment and visibility in the energy sector. The She-Fix 2.0 initiative aims to build on the momentum of its 2025 edition, reaffirming NNPC Retail's commitment to gender equity across the energy value chain.
