Shehu Sani Critiques Wike Over Jabi Lake Land Sale

Shehu Sani, a former senator representing Kaduna Central, has publicly criticized Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCTA), for the recent approval of land sales at Jabi Lake Park in Abuja. Sani accused Wike of undermining the original design of the area, which was established during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo two decades ago.

He raised concerns that the sale of part of the land, allegedly carved out for construction projects, violates the Abuja master plan designed to maintain the park as a recreational space for residents. Sani lamented the decision, stating that it is disheartening to see land being sold without clarity on the construction plans.

He warned that the approval granted by Wike may not withstand scrutiny in the future, emphasizing that such actions could lead to significant violations of the established master plan for Abuja.
