Northern Leaders Unite for Tinubu's 2027 Campaign

A coalition of prominent northern political leaders has been established to support President Bola Tinubu's re-election campaign for the 2027 presidential election. The coalition, named Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A), includes former governors Ibrahim Shekarau, Ibrahim Geidam, and Simon Lalong, who will lead the initiative.

The coalition aims to create a robust campaign structure across the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). A 14-member Board of Trustees (BoT) will provide leadership, with Shekarau as chairman, Geidam and Lalong as deputies.

Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has been appointed as the Director-General of the National Directorate, responsible for campaign strategy and coordination. He will be supported by three deputy national coordinators for different regions.

The coalition's structure will focus on mobilization, campaign strategy, communications, logistics, and grassroots engagement throughout the North. Other key appointments include directors for finance, operations, communications, and youth affairs, ensuring a comprehensive approach to the campaign.
