Shekarau Lauds Adebayo for Shared Vision for Nigeria

Former Kano State Governor Ibrahim Shekarau commended Adewole Adebayo, the national leader of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), during a condolence visit following the death of Adebayo's elder brother. Shekarau noted that their relationship began during a televised interview in the presidential election race, where he was impressed by Adebayo's articulation of national issues.

Shekarau expressed admiration for Adebayo's vision for Nigeria and sought to arrange a meeting with him, emphasizing their shared aspirations for the country. During the visit, Shekarau highlighted that despite their affiliation with different political parties, their common goal of national development should take precedence.

He reiterated that while political parties are necessary for identifying leadership, they should not overshadow the larger objective of advancing Nigeria's progress.
