Shettima Launches $540M Women’s Fund and Infrastructure in Katsina

Vice President Kashim Shettima arrived in Katsina State to flag off the second phase of the Community Investment Fund under the Nigeria for Women Programme Scale-Up (NFWP-SU) and commission various infrastructure projects. His arrival was announced by his spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha.

During his visit, Shettima is also expected to launch 30 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) hybrid buses and 200 electric tricycles to promote cleaner public transportation. Additionally, he will commission several completed road projects in Katsina, including the 4.8-kilometre dualised Kofar Sauri–Central Mosque Roundabout Road and the 2.4-kilometre Central Police Station Junction–Kofar Kaura Underpass Road.
Shettima will also visit the Katsina State Government House to welcome new members into the All Progressives Congress.
