Shettima Launches NASENI Skill Acquisition Programme

On July 27, 2026, Vice President Kashim Shettima will officially launch the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) Skill Acquisition Programme in Kano State. This initiative aims to train 160 participants across six geopolitical zones in Nigeria, focusing on skills such as solar installation, mobile phone hardware repair, and electronic appliance maintenance.

Shettima, representing President Bola Tinubu, emphasized the program's alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritizes job creation and equips Nigerian entrepreneurs with essential skills. The program is designed to promote innovation and human capital development, fostering economic growth through technology-driven interventions.

NASENI's CEO, Khalil Suleiman Halilu, highlighted the importance of equipping youth and women with relevant skills to enhance entrepreneurship opportunities. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Kano State Governor Abba Ibrahim and representatives from local government and financial institutions.
