Shettima to Welcome Zamfara Governor into APC Tuesday

On Tuesday, Kashim Shettima, the Vice President of Nigeria, will formally welcome Dauda Lawal, the Governor of Zamfara State, into the All Progressives Congress (APC). Tukur Maikatako, the APC Chairman in Zamfara, announced this during a meeting with party stakeholders in Gusau on Saturday.

Shettima's visit is expected to underscore the APC's commitment to political unity in Zamfara and provide an opportunity to welcome back former APC members. Maikatako emphasized the need for party members to set aside factional differences and work collectively towards common goals, particularly in preparation for the 2027 elections.

The return of Governor Lawal is seen as a significant move that highlights the APC's role as a provider of good governance and development in the state. The visit is also intended to boost the party's popularity ahead of the upcoming elections, with a call for active engagement from members across all 147 wards in the 14 local government areas of Zamfara.
