Shettima Invites Saudi Investors to Nigeria's Halal Economy

On Tuesday, Vice President Kashim Shettima called on Saudi Arabian investors to take advantage of emerging opportunities in Nigeria, declaring the country open for business and aiming to establish itself as Africa's leading hub in the global halal economy, valued at over $7 trillion. Shettima made these remarks at the Nigeria-Saudi Investment and Tourism Exhibition in Abuja, organized by Al-Yaro International Limited in collaboration with the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM).

Represented by his Special Assistant on Export Expansion, Aliyu Bunu Sheriff, Shettima stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration prioritizes export diversification and a competitive investment climate. He highlighted the significance of the exhibition as both nations seek to enhance cooperation in various sectors, including agriculture, tourism, and healthcare.

Shettima also mentioned the development of a Nigerian Halal Economy Strategy, aimed at fostering economic cooperation between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
