Shettima Withdraws from Kaduna Central Senate Race

Yerima Shettima has officially withdrawn from the Kaduna Central Senate race and has pledged his support for candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This announcement was made during a press conference on Sunday, following extensive consultations that led to his decision.

Shettima emphasized that his withdrawal should not be interpreted as a sign of fear or weakness but rather as a commitment to the unity and discipline of the party. He reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and expressed readiness to contribute to the party's success.

Shettima also called for reconciliation among aggrieved party members to strengthen cohesion within the APC as the 2027 general elections approach. His withdrawal comes amid growing political realignments within the APC in Kaduna State, following recent primary elections that produced various candidates for different electoral positions.
