Shinkafi Backs Yari, Continues APC Primary Legal Battle

Dr Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, a senatorial aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket in Zamfara North, has expressed his support for Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari following Yari's appointment as Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council. During a gathering with his political structure, the Wamban Shinkafi Democratic Front, Shinkafi emphasized the importance of unity among APC members to secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

Despite his support for Yari, Shinkafi confirmed that he would not withdraw his legal challenge against the APC primary election process in Zamfara North, which he claims involved the imposition of a candidate and infringement of his democratic rights. He has approached the Federal High Court with substantial evidence and intends to pursue the case through the appellate courts if necessary.

Additionally, he instructed his coordinators in Zamfara North to prepare for the senatorial campaign committee ahead of upcoming campaign activities.
