Bingham University VC Warns Freshers Against Crime, Threatens Expulsion

Professor Ayuba Issu, the Vice-Chancellor of Bingham University in Nigeria, issued a stern warning to 1,805 new students during the 2025/2026 matriculation ceremony. He stressed the importance of upholding the university's rules and values, with a focus on discipline, moral conduct, and chapel attendance.

The Vice-Chancellor highlighted the institution's zero-tolerance policy towards exam malpractice, assault, bullying, sexual harassment, drug abuse, cultism, vandalism, rioting, and other criminal behaviors. Students were urged to maintain integrity, honesty, respect, and prompt reporting of suspicious activities to ensure academic success and graduation.

Ignoring the university's rules would not be tolerated, and severe sanctions, including expulsion, would be imposed on violators.
