Crawford University VC Urges Discipline at Matriculation

During the matriculation ceremony held on Wednesday, Prof. Solomon Makinde, Vice Chancellor of Crawford University, addressed 917 newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session, including 85 postgraduate students.

He urged them to shun violence and prioritize discipline, stating that these values are essential for a successful academic journey. Makinde emphasized that the university, established in 2005 by Rev.

Paul Og Akazu, aims to provide quality education rooted in strong moral and spiritual values. He highlighted the importance of adhering to the university's rules and regulations, including a strict dress code and a commitment to academic integrity.

The Vice Chancellor noted that the matriculation marks the beginning of the students' transformation into scholars committed to excellence. He also mentioned the university's growth over the past two decades and its focus on equipping graduates with 21st-century skills relevant to the global workforce.

The ceremony also marked the beginning of a new phase in the university's governance with the appointment of Prof. Felicia Alu Moh as Pro-Chancellor and Chairperson of the Governing Council.
