Nigerians Celebrate Security Personnel at Silent Heroes Award

The 8th Silent Heroes Award took place in Abuja, where Nigerians were urged to acknowledge the sacrifices made by security personnel in defending the nation against terrorism and crime. Founder Sundai Odita highlighted that military personnel deserve recognition for their supreme sacrifices and dedication to national security.

The event featured various awards, including the Silent Hero Leadership Award, presented to Chris Isiguzo, the immediate past president of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, for his contributions to journalism. John Onoja, Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, described the initiative as impactful, promoting patriotism and inspiring service to the nation.

He emphasized the importance of recognizing selfless individuals who contribute to national development without seeking personal gain. The event aimed to boost the morale of security personnel and encourage continued support for troops deployed across various operational theaters nationwide.
