Six APC Aspirants Endorse Shekarau for Kano Senate Seat

Six aspirants who previously expressed interest in the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Kano Central senatorial seat ahead of the 2027 general elections have withdrawn from the race and endorsed former Kano State Governor Ibrahim Shekarau. The aspirants, including Usman Bala, Sha Aban, Sharada Muhammad, Zango Danyaro, Yakasai Abba, Sani Abba, and Shehu Isa, reached this decision during a high-level meeting reportedly convened in Abuja.

The agreement aims to strengthen political harmony and promote stability within Kano State ahead of the upcoming elections. Shekarau, who has previously been associated with the People's Democratic Party (PDP), announced his defection to the APC, with posters of his campaign adorning the venue of the meeting.

The aspirants urged their supporters to unite and support Shekarau as part of efforts to foster peace in the state.
