Sokoto Governor Aliyu Advocates for Project Protection

During the commissioning of the Kirar Izala Jumu Mosque in Goronyo Local Government Area, Governor Ahmadu Aliyu of Sokoto State called on residents to safeguard public projects from vandalism. He highlighted that these projects, funded by taxpayer money, should benefit the community and not lead to wasted resources.

Aliyu urged every community to establish local committees responsible for the regular monitoring and protection of projects within their areas. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining the mosque and encouraged worshippers to observe the five daily prayers.

The governor announced that his administration would prioritize the construction and renovation of Islamiyya schools and cemeteries across the state. Deputy Governor Idri Muham Gobir praised the governor's efforts, particularly in constructing Islamiyya schools within mosque premises.

The event included a special prayer for the governor's administration, attended by dignitaries including Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko and Sultan Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar.
