Sokoto First Lady Launches Cash and Food Support Program

On a Saturday, Hajiya Fatima Ahm Aliyu, the First Lady of Sokoto State, officially launched a distribution program aimed at providing cash assistance and food items to women and vulnerable groups across the state. During the flag-off ceremony, she reaffirmed the commitment of Governor Dr.

Ahm Aliyu's administration to enhance the welfare and livelihood of less privileged citizens. The initiative is designed to offer immediate relief to vulnerable households, empower beneficiaries with startup capital, and help establish small businesses for self-reliance.

Hajiya Fatima noted that the welfare of women, widows, and persons living with disabilities remains a top priority for the government. She also highlighted previous humanitarian interventions and commended Senator Oluremi Bola Ahmed Tinubu for her efforts in improving the lives of the less privileged.

The program aims to cushion the effects of economic hardship and restore hope among vulnerable groups, with a focus on social protection and poverty reduction.
