Troops Kill 50 ISWAP Terrorists in Yobe State Attack

On a coordinated attack on the 27 Brigade headquarters in Buni Gari, Yobe State, Nigerian troops neutralized at least 50 suspected ISWAP terrorists. The attack occurred on Thursday, with terrorists launching multiple assaults targeting the brigade's headquarters and checkpoints.

Troops, under the command of Sani Uba, successfully repelled the insurgents, inflicting significant losses. The military reported recovering a large cache of arms, including eight AK-47 rifles, two general-purpose machine guns, and various other munitions.

Despite sustaining minor damage to a gun truck, two soldiers were confirmed killed during the engagement. The operation involved indirect fire and air support, which enabled precise strikes against the fleeing insurgents.

Human intelligence reports indicated additional bodies scattered in the vicinity as the terrorists retreated. The military emphasized that no part of the camp was breached during the attack, maintaining its integrity throughout the engagement.
